  1. The Old Course Hotel

    This is the one for any golf lovers and lovers of luxury - the old course hotel is award winning and it’s hard not to notice with all its grandeur and beauty.  Whether you’re after an intimate wedding or your guestlist is pages long the old course hotel is here to cater to grant all your wedding wishes. This is undeniably one of the most gorgeous wedding venues with incredible backdrops of the Old Course, Swilcan Bridge and West Sands Beach. The conservatory is a beautiful room with a beautiful gold chandelier that makes for that fairytale finish. A wedding here is definitely one for the storybooks.

In true party-goer style at Cambo house there are no carriages at 12pm - there is no bedtime and you can celebrate the whole night and morning away.   3. Kinkell Byre

    Rustic charm? Check! Stunning sea views? Check! 16 years of wedding experience? Check!

    Kinkell Byre was built in the 1700s as a shelter from the winter elements for the cattle of Kinkell. It’s even built from the stone ruins of Kinkell Castle - bringing a touch of royalty to the rustic atmosphere. Kinkell Byre is also one of the only two venues to offer Weddings for the Wild, meaning they’re dedicated to restoring Scotland’s wild nature through Scotland The Big Picture. If you’ve dreamed of a floaty, rustic and fairy-esque wedding - this is the one for you.

  4. Forbes of Kingennie Country Resort

    Forbes of Kingennie has received a number of awards from taste awards to Scottish tourist awards. It’s a beautiful venue nestled in the countryside which can cater to any lavish bash or smaller celebrations for those wanting something a little more intimate. If you’re after some stunning wedding photographs you’re spoilt for choice from the beautiful architecture inside to the fishing ponds and the backdrops of the beautiful countryside rolling around you.

  5. Teasses Estate

    Teasses Estate is home to stunning grounds that are bountiful and blooming whatever the season - golden hour here is the perfect time to get those beautiful movie-esque wedding shots.

    This gorgeous location dates all the way back to the Neolithic period and is home to many artefacts collected along the years. So if you’re a lover of stories and mythical tales this might be the location for you, and you can be part of Teasses history!

    The Victorian Greenhouse is situated in the Walled Garden and is a gorgeous dining location with a long grande table and plenty of daylight but if you’ve got other ideas you can have a marquee on the lawn for up to 150 guests with tents amongst the fruit trees or cocktails and canapes in the greenhouse - whatever you desire Teasses aim to deliver.

  6. Fingask Castle

    Fingask is the ultimate party palace, the estate is perfect for hosting weddings with it’s beautiful gardens, games rooms, pools and wealth of accommodation. Fingask caters to all sizes of weddings from your more intimate ceremonies to 200+ party-goers.

    Larger weddings are held in either the Amber Room or on the castle lawns or family chapel and smaller weddings are held in the Castle’s Long Gallery, following onto the courtyard for your drinks reception. If the weather is good enough you can even have your wedding outside in one of the gardens - you’ve got the Castle Lawn, Ossian's Garden and the bell shaped pavilion to tie the knot.

If you have a love of literature and legend, it’s steeped in history. In 1376 Sir John Lyon brought Princess Johanna to Galmis and couples have been drawn into the romantic setting ever since. Not only that but Glamis has served as the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth and the birthplace of The Princess Margaret. You can also walk the Macbeth Trail in the gardens which exhibits sculptures by Neith Art and Sculpture of the characters. At Glamis Castle, you’ll feel like a true storybook queen.

  8. Rufflets St Andrews

  9. St Andrews University

    One of St Andrews highlights is the university, it’s the oldest of the four ancient universities of Scotland and is the third oldest in the English speaking world.

    There are a couple of requirements that make you eligible to get married at the university. This can be if you or your partner are a current student or graduate of St Andrews. Being a member of staff or a child or grandchild of a member of staff, a student or a graduate grants you marriage access. Being a local resident also means you’re able to get married at one of the various university locations. Many couples who met while studying at the university decided to tie the knot here as a significant marker of their relationship. The university is full of gorgeous spots for your ceremony and reception with St Salvator's chapel being the largest and most historic.

  10. Hill of Tarvit Mansion

    Hill of Tarvit is perfect for the cultured and glamorous. The house is home to many antiques and chinese porcelain as well as paintings from Raeburn, Ramsay and a plethora of Dutch artists. But the shining star you can’t miss is the tapestry of Alexander the Great. Your guests will love strolling through french windows onto the terrace with it’s fairytale sweeping staircase and views across the vast Fife countryside. It’s the perfect country retreat. The gardens are Lormier designed with yew hedging, mixed borders and sunken rose gardens which make for perfect wedding photography and videography. If you’re hosting a large celebration a marquee is available to set up on the formal lawns. Guests can stay in the upper west wing in the mansion house or make use of the quaint cottages in the grounds.
