Edinburgh engagement photographer | Natalie + Samuel

Welcome back to the blog! The place where we share recent weddings, elopements, adventure couple shoots, planning tips and advice for your inspiration and help you plan your dream wedding.

Today, we’re beyond excited to share a recent love story we had the honour of documenting. This is a story that originates from a school in North Carolina, United States. This is the story of Natalie and Samuel - but before we dive into the nitty gritty of their love story, I have a question for you.

For your wedding, the biggest day of your life, would you travel to a country you’ve never been to? Sounds pretty cool right? That’s what forms the foundation of Natalie and Samuel’s love story. They planned their big day from a whooping distance of 3,690 miles away!

Natalie and Samuel are two of the kindest human-beings you’d ever wish to meet. Being based in North Carolina, they love an outdoors adventure, so whilst travelling to Edinburgh for their destination wedding, they wanted their pre-wedding shoot to take place somewhere scenic with an adventurous feel, yet in the city. They also wanted to take a piece of Edinburgh with them as memories so what better than their engagement photos in the heart of the city, at probably one of the coolest spots in Edinburgh - the Circus Lane!

As Natalie and Samuel had never been to Scotland before, I helped them through the decision making process and planned out their engagement shoot to take place at Circus Lane and the Arthur’s Seat. We met at the Circus Lane and after a mini shoot there, we made our way to the Arthur’s Seat, but were faced with closed roads along the way! This is where we all got adventurous and began our hike...
