Glencoe as an Elopement Location

You’d be pleased to know that Glencoe is one of the BEST and most breathtaking spot you can visit in Scotland and definitely the place to go to for adventure weddings and elopements. Glencoe has so many beautiful spots as the backdrop to your wedding ceremony, photographs and film. We’re so lucky to be meeting so many wonderful couples each year and document their union as they exchange vows with some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. Through our knowledge and elopement expertise, we will guide you through the planning process, recommend the best spots and vendors to make your elopement experience hassle-free, so you can focus on what truly matters and that is your wedding day and your spouse to be.

When is the best time to elope?

This is quite an important question and we’ll guide you through a few important bits that you should consider. Firstly, do you have any specific dates that are meaningful and important to you, your family, and/or your relationship? Start from there and see if one of those can be your elopement date. If you don’t care about dates and care more for the vibe and vision of your elopement, then we can always select a location first and then the date later.

There are a few things you should keep in mind when it comes to deciding the best time to elope:

  • If the location is the most important aspect of your elopement, then let us know and we’ll advise you on the best time for us to travel there to avoid crowds such as tourists as well as other logistical issues such as any road closures, etc.

  • Most locations tend to attract crowds on the weekends so weekdays always work better for elopements. This can of course make you feel more relaxed which can result in better photos and film.

  • Whilst we photograph in any kind of weather (yes even in rain and snow!), the best portrait photos are created when the light is soft and even, so when planning an adventure with us, be prepared to hike before sunrise and after sunset (if you’re both up for an adventure!). We will discuss all the logistics in the planning process so you don’t have to worry about preparing a list of items to pack just now. This is just a heads up that “the best view often comes after the hardest climb” but trust us that your photos and film will be one of a kind.

AN ALL INCLUSIVE PHOTO+VIDEO PACKAGE TO CAPTURE IT ALL

As one of the few photographers in the UK that offers an all inclusive photo and video package, this package saves you the hassle of having to deal with and communicate with different suppliers, sign several contracts and manage many invoices.

Photography is usually high on the agenda but videography can often be overlooked and deemed as not really essential. But we’ve spoken in depth before about why you should hire a professional videographer - because it allows you to share your wedding day moments at any time to those who missed the wedding, and let you relive all the special moments yourselves from all the emotions to the exchange of your vows. The best part is you can relive them however many times you wish, and keep on doing so for a lifetime. You can also experience your wedding day from the perspective of your friends and family as videography captures all the special moments of your day from the moment you get ready to your guests arriving, and so many more key moments.

As duo photographers and videographers, our approach to photography and filmmaking is the same where we use a combination of documentary, fine art and editorial styles to craft our art and always go the extra mile to make your photos and film unique and personal to you and your day. We’d love to tell your love story through our photo + film with our all inclusive package tailored to document everything on your big day.
