Forbes of kingennie wedding videographer | Sam + Danielle
Welcome back to the blog! The place where we give you further insight into our work, the behind the scenes, wedding planning, tips, guide and many more! Today we’re thrilled to tell you all about a recent wedding we had the honour of documenting at one of our favourite venues! But first, a note about why Angus is a beautiful place for weddings...
Why Get Married In Angus?
Angus is Scotland’s birthplace - home to some of Scotland’s iconic wedding venues that are rich in heritage and stories. But that’s not all, Angus has another side to it with its rolling hills and gorgeous greenscapes and of course the sea on the east coast of Scotland, giving you a picturesque backdrop for your wedding day. Here are a couple of articles if you’re looking for wedding venues in or near Angus.
A Forbes of Kingennie Wedding | Forbes of Kingennie Wedding Photographer and Videographer
As Angus wedding photographers and videographers, we always love returning to venues we’ve previously shot at as it gives us the chance to push our creativity, explore and try something new and different with with a new couple. This is one of the reasons we love what we do!
Danielle and Sam were in search of a countryside wedding venue close to home that had a rustic feel to it. After searching the couple came across The Forbes of Kingennie. They definitely picked the perfect venue and the perfect day to tie the knot. Located within a 15 minute drive to Dundee, the Forbes of Kingennie, is a romantic countryside wedding venue in Angus that caters to couples every need and desire. The weather was delightful, and the atmosphere in The Buddon Burn Ceremony Building was bursting with emotion and excitement. Sam was impatiently waiting for Danielle to make her grand entrance and the guest were chatting away as they waited. Danielle, was walked down the aisle by her father, looking absolutely gorgeous with her makeup done by Annie Voigt, Hair by Christina and wearing the most beautiful dress from Unbridaled Boutique.
The ceremony was simply lovely and was conducted by the well-known Scottish Humanist, Gary Smith, who always brings life and humour to every wedding he conducts. We’ve now worked with Gary on several occasions and can certainly highly recommend him if you’re looking for a fun celebrant to conduct your wedding ceremony.
Once the ceremony came to an end the couple went outdoors where they had their guest throw confetti which was a nice little addition to the day. Throwing confetti not only brings excitement and cheer to the day but it is actually a tradition carried out to bestow prosperity and fertility upon the happy couple. P.S. it gives your wedding photographer and videographer the opportunity to create some magic!
The day continued with a reception party in the Inglesmaldie Events Suite which let the couple relax after a full on day and enjoy spending quality time with their friends and family.
Kind words from Danielle and Sam:
“Wow! They are AMAZING! Thank you so much! We are absolutely over the moon with them and have already watched them a few times over since last night. They’re beautiful. Your work is amazing”
