Fingask Castle Wedding Photographer | Nikki + Matthew
Simple, elegant and traditional.
Nikki and Matt met in an expat party in Kuda Bandos Resort in the Maldives. Nikki was working there as a nurse at the time and Matt worked in a super yacht that was anchored there for 6 months. They became besties and moved to the states together. When we asked about the proposal, Nikki mentioned that “It was during sunrise at the balcony of our hotel in Miami Beach Florida. He woke me up maybe 2-3 minutes before sunrise. Waited for the sun and popped the question”
Fast-forward to the wedding day, they opted in for a colour scheme of burgundy and blush pink. Nikki loves burgundy but wanted to brighten up the atmosphere by adding blush pink and a touch of gold - and it looked absolutely magical!
Nikki and Matt wanted a wedding that everyone would enjoy from beginning to end. They added lawn games, busy bags for the kids and saxophonist so their nearest and dearest were entertained throughout the day. They had also organised a photo-booth where guests could have their photo taken as a souvenir.
Advice for couples planning their wedding day:
“Make sure to relax 3 days before your wedding. This will help you enjoy your wedding party at night. I was so exhausted after the wedding ceremony due to stress and lack of sleep couple of days before the wedding”
Kind words from the couple
“You guys are amazing and professional. We enjoyed talking to you while doing our shoot. The photos are stunning. Our family and friends said that we look like a movie star”
