Selecting the Right Adventure Elopement & Intimate Wedding Photographer Can Make All The Difference
We LOVE intimate weddings & elopements and have a lot to tell you about them! So, we have prepared a classical song for you to play whilst finding out more about us and how we can help you plan your DREAM elopement in Scotland 🤍
LET’S GET PERSONAL
Hey there, firstly, it’s awesome that you landed on this page! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my website.
I’m Aryan - a hybrid scotland wedding photographer and videographer who has shot weddings all over Scotland and often in Europe too. I’m one of the few wedding photographers in Scotland that can offer an all inclusive photo and video package, saving you the hassle of having to go through two separate companies, consultations, invoices, contracts, etc.
In case you’re wondering “is it even possible to do both photo and video at the same time?”. The answer is yes and no. I work with a team of hybrid shooters (where they have the skills to do both photo and video) and depending on the scale of your wedding, I’ll bring some of the members of my team along to ensure everything is documented flawlessly.
Everything You Need to Prepare You For Your Adventure Elopement & Intimate Wedding
What is an elopement?
Put simply, an elopement (nowadays) is a wedding ceremony that has a huge focus on just you and your partner. In the world of intimate weddings and adventure elopements, your wedding day does not have to be adhered to any expectations or traditional wedding etiquettes. Elopements are for couples who want to solely focus on one another INTENTIONALLY and do something different that is all about the two of them. From travelling to somewhere meaningful to the two of you to a destination that is completely new as a way to celebrate and begin the next chapter of your lives, taking a helicopter ride to have your ceremony somewhere epic or getting married on a boat in the middle of a lake, the day is truly yours and you have control over your elopement experience + timeless memories you create with your new spouse.

What is the difference between intimate weddings and elopements?
In the wedding industry, the term elopement and intimate wedding (micro-wedding) is often used interchangeably. Whilst the end result of these two is exactly the same (the couple being married), the main difference comes down to the number of guests. Elopements tend to be smaller either having no guests or very few guests (typically less than ten) but micro-weddings tend to be slightly bigger with the guest-list being up to 50. However, both elopements and micro-weddings are still intimate with the main focus being on the couple, what they desire for their special day which is truly what it’s all about.
Should we elope to Scotland?
Elopements have become increasingly popular and whilst the dictionary definition of ‘eloping’ has morphed a little looser nowadays, the adventurous and romantic spirit of eloping hasn’t changed. Scotland is currently the only country in the UK where you can legally get married anywhere, provided that you have a registered celebrant to register your marriage. You could be on a boat in a beautiful loch, on a mountainside of the magnificent Scottish highlands or perhaps by a pristine beach. This means couples can choose a location that is special and meaningful.
Where can we elope to, in Scotland?
You would be glad to know that Scotland offers some of the best scenery on planet Earth! Whether you feel like getting married on a clifftop by the sea or elope to the heart of highlands, there are breathtaking backdrops for your elopement all over the country. Here are a few articles we have written to help you decide on your dream elopement location in Scotland:
When is the best time to elope?
Do you have a specific dates that are meaningful and important to you, your family, and/or your relationship? Start from there and see if one of those can be your elopement date. But if you don’t care about dates and care more for the vibe and vision of your elopement, then we can always select a location first and then the date later.
There are a few things you should keep in mind when it comes to deciding the best time to elope:
If the location is the most important aspect of your elopement (aside from getting married), then let us know as soon as possible and we’ll advise you on the best time for us to travel there to avoid crowds such as tourists as well as other logistical issues such as any road closures, etc.
Most locations tend to attract crowds on the weekends so weekdays always work better for elopements. This will of course allow you to be more relaxed but also better photos and film as we would spend less time looking for spots with nobody in the background.
Whilst we photograph in any kind of weather (yes even in rain and snow!), the best portrait photos are created when the light is soft and even, so when planning an adventure with us, be prepared to hike before sunrise and after sunset (if you’re both up for an adventure!). We will discuss all the logistics in the planning process so you don’t have to worry about preparing a list of items to pack just now. This is just a heads up that “the best view often comes after the hardest climb” but trust us that your photos and film will be one of a kind.
